Banyan of the Botanical Garden of Calcutta

On the heels of the world's largest Banyan, the Banian of the Calcutta Botanical Garden would take the silver medal for the second largest in the world. It consists of 230 years of age and occupies a total area of 12,000 square meters, no less than 7,000 meters less than the largest.
The circumference of its main trunk is twelve meters, also occupying a diameter of 120 meters.
